Manufacturer or Fabricator…or both?
Generally, within the fenestration industry, there are two types of manufacturer: Systems Manufacturers and Fabricators.
Systems manufacturers design and develop systems and manufacture the components that go with them. Fabricators buy in the components from systems manufacturers and build the product as instructed by the manufacturer specifications.
Some systems manufacturers also occasionally operate as fabricators.
The majority of window and door systems made in the UK are done so by fabricators who buy from well-established system manufacturers. This is because it is impossible for most small companies to spend the huge amounts of money on research, development, and testing that the large multi-billion pound systems manufacturers can.

We design and develop our own specialist security systems as well as working with the best systems manufacturers in the world for a range of our domestic products. This gives us an insight into the design of systems and allows us to use the knowledge to choose only the best systems available.
